Warning: Too much schooling can damage your health

This witty book by Trevor Millum contains 100 pages of poems suitable for pupils of a wide range of age and ability, together with over 30 pages of ideas to help pupils write their own poems.

The poems and the ideas have been fully 'destruction-tested' in primary and secondary schools around the country. The author's experience of working with young (and often reluctant) writers is evident in the range and inventiveness of the suggestions. And there is also a collection of additional materials on the Resource website.

The collection contains old favourites such as Exploding Heads and Junk Mail which lend themselves to reading aloud or performance as well as more reflective poems such as Sad I Ams and Fragments Overheard.

"Witty" – "Irreverent" – "Carefully crafted" – "Sensitive" – "Fun"
