Configuring RESOURCE softwareMost software titles from Resource Education share a number of standard features: • An About box • Talk·2·Talk programs have a Language Installer • Software suitable for whiteboards or touch-sensitive monitors has a Cursor Switch The About box: CONTROL + F1From the title screen or main menu screen, type CONTROL + F1 to open the About box. This will show you: • Our contact details • Your licence details • Your serial number You can change your serial number at any time (provided you have Administrator rights) and your licence details will be updated immediately. The Configurations Editor: CONTROL + F2All Resource software can be adjusted to meet the needs of individuals or groups by using the Configurations editor. All software from Resource Education has a Configurations editor. When you are on the title screen or main menu screen of any program, press CONTROL + F2 to open the Configurations editor. Some titles have a single Configuration: all users must share the setup. Our newer programs have a number of Configurations, usually identified by six buttons:
When you press CONTROL + F2, you will be shown the Configurations editor in a screen that looks similar to this one from Moles.
Simply click on an icon the be edited and make your changes to enable the program meet the needs of individuals or groups. This Configuration screen from Pond shows installed Talk·2·Talk language packs:
The Global icon at the bottom of the tabs will let you use any installed language on the Title screen. Remember that networked users all share the same set of Configurations. Under these circumstances, teachers could use Configuratons as personal settings. TheTalk·2·Talk Language Installer: CONTROL + F3Talk-2-Talk programs can support a number of different languages for EAL or MFL work. If you have purchased one or more languages for any of the programs listed on the right, press CONTROL + F3 from the title screen and follow the on-screen instructions. The Cursor Switch: CONTROL + F5In most cases, a cursor is not required on a whiteboard or touch-sensitive monitor and the larger cursors used in a number of our titles can be intrusive. Press CONTROL + F5 at any time to turn the cursor off or on. This is a new feature that we are adding when we can and may not be available to all programs. |
