Complete the PictureA simple little program that can do a lot to develop visual acuity and motor control.

There are three Configurations available from the title screen – finding them is part of the fun.

Each of the three Configurations has:

Three Movement types: Key, Drag, Latch and Click.

Three levels of Snap sensitivity: Easy, Medium and Hard.

From one to three missing parts to be placed.

If you open the Configuration editor with CONTROL + F2, you will find a number of ways of setting up the program.

ladybirdWhen Latch is set as the Movement type, clicking any object attaches it to the cursor so the user doesn't have to worry about holding the button down to move the object into place.

Now the Snap sensitivity starts to become important. With this set to Easy, the object has to be moved into the general area of the target position where it will snap into place. The higher the Snap sensitivity, the more accurate the user has to be in trying to place the object.

Raise the level of difficulty yet again by setting the Movement type to Drag and the mouse has to be used as it would be in any other program: click to select, hold down the button and drag the object to a new location.

Complete the Picture - HouseThis is a typical picture. The image to be copied is on the left, the incomplete on the right and the parts to be placed are at the bottom of the screen.

There are always three parts to be placed when the scene starts, but one or two parts will place themselves depending on the settings you make in the editor.

fishAs a simple cause and effect exercise, set the Movement type to Keys or Click.

With Keys, any keystroke will produce a result. If you have a switch interface that uses keystroke mapping through the Crick USB box or something similar, this should also work.

With the Click option, just clicking the object will put it in place.
